Wren is a task manager that respects your right to own your data. Everything it works with is plain text files that always stay with you: point it at a folder, and every line like - [ ] Call the bank becomes a task.
Everything you do in Wren is written back to the same file, so your tasks stay readable in any editor and in apps like Obsidian. The interface follows Apple Reminders and the Human Interface Guidelines, and the app is available in 13 languages.

Tasks are lines in markdown files in a folder you choose, on your device or in iCloud Drive. No account, no server, no lock-in.
Obsidian Tasks syntax
Wren reads and writes the format of the Obsidian Tasks plugin, so it works alongside your notes app. Both the dataview and the emoji forms are supported.
Familiar smart lists
Today, Scheduled, Important, Completed and Inbox, with pinned lists, colors and icons, just like in Reminders.
Subtasks, notes and statuses
Indented subtasks, notes under a task and your own statuses beyond done and to do.
Due dates, repeats and reminders
Repeat tasks the way Reminders does and get notifications you can snooze for 15 minutes, an hour or a day.
